Spartan Gives is how we turn our values into action and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Each region has a dedicated budget, your team chooses a cause that matters locally, and together, each region brings the event to life. Everything you need to plan a thoughtful, successful event is right here.
Start PlanningSpartan Gives was created as a way to serve shoulder-to-shoulder in the communities where we live and work.
A school, a food bank, a shelter, a charity walk. If it serves the community around your studios, it counts.
The Champion owns one event from plan to report. No title required, and it can be someone new next time.
Every region has a dedicated annual amount. Nothing to apply for — just a plan for your Director to approve.
Decide who is leading this one. It can be anyone on the team, and the role can rotate from event to event.
Identify a local organization or community need your team wants to support.
Complete the Cause Plan and email it to your Territory Director, with your partner details, estimated impact and planned spend.
Your Territory Director reviews and approves the event plan and the requested budget.
Coordinate the day, track participation and volunteer hours, and collect photo releases.
Submit the Impact Report so we can share your team’s story across the company.
In 2025, Spartan Gives was a proud partner to Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, empowering young people across our community. Together, we created safe spaces, provided caring mentors, nutritious meals, and high-quality programs that helped kids learn, grow, and thrive.
Your investment helps ensure that Club members have opportunities to succeed academically, build healthy lifestyles, develop strong character, and prepare for bright futures.

Once your Cause Plan is approved, Accounting will send the donation directly to the organization on your region's behalf. Note the timing in your plan.
Use your company card to purchase approved event supplies after your Cause Plan has been approved.
Spartan Gives funds do not carry over into the next year, so map out your events early and make the most of your region's budget.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
Showing up should never feel like an obligation. Here's how participation works.
Participation is always optional, but serving together is a meaningful way to strengthen relationships and create a positive local impact.
Spartan Gives is about sharing our time, talents, skills, and hearts with local organizations. It is not about how much money we give—it is about using what we have to support causes that matter.
Plan events when the greatest number of team members can participate, while limiting disruption to daily work responsibilities and studio class schedules.
Ask your team — someone almost always already volunteers somewhere. The Ideas page has a starting list if you want prompts.
At least 14 days before the event. We'd encourage you to start planning 4 to 6 weeks out though — that gives you room to line up the partner, order anything you need, and rally your team.
A few, yes. If your idea touches one of these, it's worth a quick conversation before you get too far into planning — there's often a version that works.
Yes — and we'd love to see it. We encourage regions to come together and plan something across all their studios for a bigger impact. One Champion leads it, one Cause Plan covers it, and every participating studio shares in the result.
Your allocation is set centrally, and your Director will share it with you at the start of the year.
Just note the actual spend in your Impact Report. There's no need to use the full amount — anything left goes back into the same pool and can support another event or another region.
Give your Director a heads-up before you spend.

Please use your Divvy card for event purchases. If you don't have one, ask your GM or RM and they'll help you get set up.
Not at all. Schools, government entities, and community groups all qualify. What matters is that the organization is established and Accounting can verify who's being paid.
Funds go to the organization, and they decide how support reaches the people they serve. That keeps things clean for everyone and lets the partner direct help where it's needed most.
Send it over to the Program Lead before signing — we'll take a look and get it sorted so nothing lands on you personally.
Yes, and dollars raised count toward your impact. The simplest approach is to point people to the partner's own donation page, so no one on your team is collecting or holding cash.
Volunteer time is unpaid and scheduled while away from work.
Nothing formal — just worth a quick check before everyone arrives:
A few activities are worth talking through with your Director early on, since they may need a little extra planning: construction or repair work, anything involving water, roadside cleanup, driving participants, working with vulnerable populations, animal handling, or power tools.
Absolutely — just give your Champion a heads-up. Anyone under 18 needs a parent there, and a signed release if they'll appear in photos.
Assign one volunteer to own photography and releases for the day — it's the easiest thing to forget in the moment and the hardest to fix afterward.
If you can't get releases, you can still document the event with wide shots where individuals aren't identifiable, photos of supplies and setup, pictures of team members who have signed, or images the partner provides.
For anything external or press-related, loop in Communications — they can help it land well and make sure everyone's using the same language.
From any adult recognizable in photos you plan to use. Print them ahead of time and collect signatures at the event. The form on this page covers adults only — if children will be photographed, check with Ashley before the event, since a parent or guardian has to sign a version written for minors.
Send the signed copies in with your Impact Report — they're kept on file with the program, so there's always a record of permission for any photo we use.
The Impact Report is due within 5 business days of the event. Please make an effort to share within that window so we can update the broader team on your impact.
Start with the checklist. Two of the forms you can fill in right here, and one you'll want to print and bring along.
A working timeline from 8–12 weeks out through to the Impact Report — who to line up, when to order supplies, what to do on the day. Print it and tick things off.
Plenty of good events come together faster than this. Download the PDF if you want a copy you can tick off as you go.

Print a few extra and bring them along. Any adult who is recognizable in a photo signs one at the event, and the signed copies come back with your Impact Report.
A release needs a real signature in the moment, so it works better as a print-and-carry form than something filled in ahead of time.
To talk through an idea, swap stories from your last event, or ask something this page doesn't cover.
